Bandits have stormed five communities and killed 42 residents in Faru District of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Kebbi says it has arrested 89 suspected drug dealers and seized 2, 800 tonnes of illicit drugs and psychotropic substances within six months in the state. Soldiers in the early hours of Monday thwarted an attack on Faith Academy, a secondary school owned by Living Faith Church Worldwide, founded by Bishop David Oyedpo. The school is not far from a boarding school where many students were abducted in the Chikun local government area of Kaduna State. Suspected bandits, on Monday morning, stormed Bethel Secondary School, Maramara Chickun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and kidnapped scores of students. Armed bandits have killed seven people in the last 72 hours in Chikun, Kajuru and Giwa local government areas of Kaduna State.
