Two of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School have regained freedom after they escaped from the bandits’ den two weeks after their abduction. Enugu police confirms deadly attack on checkpoint, many officers killed

The Police in Enugu State have confirmed the deadly attack on its officers at a checkpoint in Obeagu-Amechi Community in Enugu South Local Government Area. Bodies of at least four policemen were seen after the attack, with some passersby, including a pastor also said to have fallen victim of the deadly incident. A multi-million naira shopping centre, Ebeano supermarket, Lokogoma, Abuja, is currently on fire. The inferno, which started a few hours ago was described as massive. The cause of the fire outbreak could not be immediately ascertained but it was learnt that many fire fighters are currently battling to put it out.
