COVID-19 ravages NYSC camps as 138 test positive out of 34,785 tested – NCDC Boss

No fewer than 34,685 people have been tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) across all the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camps in the country. The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, disclosed this on Monday at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 in Abuja. Lagos State Commissioner of health, Professor  Akin Abayomi Friday announced new incidences of COVID-19 positive cases in another secondary boarding school in the state. Professor Abayomi in a press statement said that a staff of the school tested positive for COVID-19 at the Lagos State Biobank on November 2 after initially receiving first aid for an illness at the school clinic.
