“Danladi Umar should know that the days of brigandage is gone. He must resign from Office immediately, else we will go to Court and get him out and get the Police to prosecute him as he is a disgrace to public service.”
The President of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor has urged Mr. Danladi Umar, Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal to resign from office as it is ironic that as Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal he has engaged in an infamous conduct unbecoming of a Public Officer, when he publicly and vacuously attacked a helpless and hapless guard at Banex Plaza, Abuja, for asking him to park properly.
Eholor stated this while reacting to the action of Mr. Danladi Umar through a text to THE WHISPERER.
He said; “Danladi Umar should know that the days of brigandage is gone. He must resign from Office immediately, else we will go to Court and get him out and get the Police to prosecute him as he is a disgrace to public service. Also, we shall also write Petitions to the Legal Practitioners’ Disciplinary Committee of the Body of Benchers, the Federal Judicial Service Commission, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, etc, to ensure that disciplinary measures are taken against him to serve as deterrent to others”, the statement added.”
THE WHISPERER had reported how Mr. Umar attacked Clement Sagwak from Plateau State, a security guard with Banex Plaza with slaps after those that accompanied him to the shopping complex had physically assaulted the helpless security guard.
According to an eye witness account, Sagwak only requested Mr Danladi Umar to park his car very well at the car park Banex Plaza, only for CCB Chairman to slapped him, pulled him down and severally inflict bodily harm on the security guard.
“The CCB Chairman, Umar Danladi was on the verge of almost further hitting the young security guard with a dangerous object gotten from his car, only for tenants and his colleagues at Banex Plaza intervened and stopped him from further assaulting and violently attacking the young security guard.”
Consequently, the legal services of Abuja based legal luminary, Ihensekhien Samuel jnr who was sent by One Love Foundation, swiftly intervened and made legal representations at the Maitama police station under the FCT Police Command where the CCB Chairman, Mr. Umar Danladi had gone to lay complaint against the security guard.
According to Barr. Ihensekhien, The DPO of Maitama police station where the criminal complaint was lodged on seeing the video recordings of the atrocious and violent act of Mr Danladi Umar on the security guard, swiftly ordered for the prompt release of security guard on bail.
Reacting further, Barr Ihensekhien of One Love Foundation legal department, said: “Steps will be taken to promptly sue and criminally prosecute Mr. Umar Danladi.
“This is a breach of extant provisions of judicial code of any arbiter and the height of impunity of any kind.” He said.
He assured all and sundry that the young security guard will get justice.
