As the apex socio cultural and political group of Ohafia prepares ahead of it’s maiden homecoming symposium, it is yet another reminder of the strategic and iconic importance of what the UDUMEZE people represents, not only in it’s unique socio-cultural exhibition, but also it’s complacent role in shaping the political history of God’s own State.
That an Ohafian is yet to occupy the government house as the number one citizen of the state beats all known logical permutations, despite it’s strategic political significance and considerations. However, the fact that it has provided the much necessarily allegiance and comradeship to help others actualize their political aspirations remains a very viable advantage.
The revitalization of the MBEN Political Assembly led by Dr. Uche Onuh Eme has through several interventions and bridge building, managed to keep warring interest, groups, and factions at peace. From wards to community, the good people of Ohafia are now focused on the bigger picture. As our intellectual sagacity, resources and industriousness is already the subject of national discuss, we are poised towards channelling our collective strength in achieving a common goal. A goal backed by equity and fairness. A goal backed by common logic and Karma.
As Idowu Koyenikan rightly posits in his celebrated book, wealth for all, “opportunity does not waste time with those who are unprepared”. The cerebral and good people of Ohafia are NOT only prepared ahead of 2023, we have set in motion a working machinery, and there is NO stopping us now..
