A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Etigwe Uwa, has paid a glowing tribute to the Accountant General of Abia State, Dr. Mrs. Njumobi Nnennaya Onyemenam, as she marks her 50th birthday, describing her as resilient, hardworking, and committed to excellence.
In a birthday message on Saturday, Uwa celebrated Onyemenam’s life and achievements, noting her strength through life’s challenges and her consistent pursuit of integrity and professionalism.
“My Dear Sister Njum,
I celebrate God’s grace and favour over your life today as you turn 50. You have weathered all the storms — whether it be the terrible loss we all suffered in 1982, the days of difficulty that followed, the disappointments in life that we all experience in one way or another, or the difficulties that come with the various high offices you have held. You have remained unbroken and firm, focused and unrelenting in the pursuit of excellence with integrity.
Your mind is sharp, and your calm and gentle nature does not diminish the golden heart of steel within. As everyone who knows you would attest, you are simply and incredibly hardworking, and you bring in the results.
From turning out as the best in the country in the Maths Olympiad during your secondary school days, to making the second-best result in ICAN while still in your second year at the university, to being CFO of many brands like Zenith Insurance, Heirs Insurance, and NSIA — you have broken glass ceilings with grace and quiet determination.
You have also been a great family woman, being such a strong pillar of support to everyone in the family.
It’s an understatement when I say I am really, really proud of you.
