ADC Online Registration Flooded with Fake Names, NIN, Pictures Of Donald Trump, Tinubu, Kim Jong Un, Others
Netizens have begun registering fake names, National Identification Numbers, and incorrect pictures barely 24 hours after the African Democratic Congress commenced free nationwide online membership registration.
The party on Sunday unveiled a new digital portal as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, instructing existing members to update and revalidate their details in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 and the guidelines of INEC.
However, the membership registration has been marred by several incorrect details, highlighting the porousness of the exercise, displaying cards for President Bola Tinubu, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the United States President, Donald Trump, and a host of others as members.
Reacting on his Facebook page, Reno Omokri wrote: “No wonder they wanted real-time transmission of election results! Look at the people they planned to use to vote for their Gbajue candidate!
“A party that cannot organise itself wants to organise Nigeria? A group that is unable to identify its own supporters wants to identify Nigeria’s challenges. An association that does not know how to solve its own problems wants to solve the challenges of Africa’s largest nation.
“Meanwhile, the same African Democratic Congress says it is better than the All Progressives Congress, which requires the National Identification Number as a mandatory step before e-registration to prevent fake registrations!!
“No be juju be that?”
Another Facebook user, Ayekooto Akindele, wrote: “ADC commences membership registration without membership identification. What a very us*l£$$ political party.”
