Anambra: Ezenwafor emerges PDP governorship candidate
Chief Jude Ezenwafor has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming November 8, 2025, Anambra State election.
The announcement was made by the chairman of the PDP national committee overseeing the primary, Col. Chijioke Onwubuya (rtd.), who declared Ezenwafor winner of the party’s governorship primary held on Tuesday at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka.
Ezenwafor, an Abuja-based real estate developer, contested unopposed, being the sole aspirant to have purchased the party’s nomination form ahead of the primary election.
Despite running without opposition, the process adhered to party guidelines, as each of the 853 accredited delegates — comprising 839 elected from the 21 local government areas of the state and 14 national delegates — was handed a ballot paper to write the name of the candidate they were voting for.
Voting was conducted systematically, with national delegates casting their ballots first, followed by delegates from each local government area.
