SDP National Youth Leader, Ogbonna, Welcomes Mallam El-Rufai, Urges Nigerian Youths to Join Party
As former Kaduna State Governor and FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, officially joins the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the party’s National Youth Leader, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogbonna, FCIHRM, has warmly welcomed him into the SDP family.
This move, seen as a strategic realignment ahead of the 2027 elections, was celebrated by Dr. Ogbonna, who described it as a beacon of hope for Nigerian youths and the country at large.
In a press statement personally signed in Abuja and made available to journalists, Dr. Ogbonna hailed El-Rufai’s entry as a significant boost to the SDP’s mission of rescuing Nigeria from years of poor governance and underdevelopment.

El-Rufai brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and Governor of Kaduna State. As a national unifier, his presence strengthens the SDP’s position as the party to beat in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Ogbonna called on Nigerian youths, genuine democrats, and nationalists to join the party’s mission to restore hope, ensure good governance, and drive national development.
