Hon. Uko Nkole appreciates President Buhari, Ikpeazu as construction of brand new Nmuri Bridge begins; commends constituents for their patience

Following the commencement of work at the dilapidated Iyi Uduma -Mmuri bridge in Ohafia LGA by the contractor handling the project, Messers Hartland Construction Company, the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole has commended President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and others for “meeting up with speed the concerns, yearnings and aspirations of genuine stakeholders to the realization of a sustainable solution through the delivery of a standard bridge”.

According to a press release from his media office signed by Ibem Onwuka, the federal lawmaker also appreciated his constituents for their patience during the period of waiting for completion of all due process and work commencement.

“Rt. Hon. Nkole wishes to use the opportunity to thank all the road users who plies on the Ohafia-Ozu Abam-Bende-Umuahia for their patience during these period of awaiting for completion of all due process and work commencement and solicits for their maximum cooperation to enable the contractor deliver a quality job in time.

“Nkole expresses his heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Executive Council, President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Governor of ABIA State and the Minister for Works and Housing, His Excellency, Babatunde Fashola for meeting up with speed the concerns, yearnings and aspirations of genuine stakeholders to the realization of a sustainable solution through the delivery of a standard bridge on this Federal Corridor.” He said.

Nmuri Bridge links Abam in Arochukwu Local Government Area to Ebem Ohafia, in Ohafia Local Government Area.

Ebem Ohafia is the administrative headquarters of Ohafia Local Government Area and the hometown of first indigeneous Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos and Power Minister, Prof. Eni Njoku.

It houses the 14 Brigade of the Nigeria Army (NA), named Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks;  Federal Government College, Ohafia.
