The Honourable Member representing the good people of Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon (Barr.) Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, was today being 3rd of February 2021, empowered Oyi and Ayamelum women with cash grant under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development at Prof.Dora Akunyili Women Center, Awka.
This empowerment is designed to provide a one-off grant to some of the poorest and most vulnerable women in rural and peri-urban areas of Oyi and Ayamelum.
The grant is expected to increase income and productive assets of the beneficiaries, and we hope that the beneficiaries of this program will make good use of the grant to generally contribute towards improving their living standard.
The women full of joy and excitements expressed their joy by thanking Hon Ofumelu for this kind gesture. They prayed that God will continue to bless and keep the law maker for Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency.
