The Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has commiserated with the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over the death of his wife, Mrs Ifeoma (nee Menakaya).
This is as the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero has expressed grief over the demise of the former Abia First Lady.
Similarly, the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), and Chinese firm, Hengzhou have condoled with the former Abia State Governor on the untimely death of his late wife.
Governor el-Rufai in a condolence message personally signed by him, said:
“I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of your beloved
wife, Mrs. Ifeoma Ada Kalu – a wife, mother, community leader, and
philanthropist who lived an exceptional life.
“Losing a loved one, particularly a spouse, is a painful and traumatic
experience. However, we must accept God’s will and take comfort in knowing that Mrs. Ifeoma lived a well-accomplished life devoted to serving God and humanity.
“On behalf of the people and government of Kaduna State, I extend my sincere condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. It is our fervent prayer that Almighty God grants her eternal rest; and you, the family and people of Abla State, the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“Please accept once again, our heartfelt condolences and have, as always, the assurances of my esteemed regards.”
In a separate condolence message, the Emir of Bichi said: “I received with heavy grief and sadness the news of the death of your wife Mrs. Ifeoma Ada Kalu a loving wife and a mother a women of virtue who was committed to the service of board and humanity.
“Although death is inevitable reality for all mortals, reminisces that we shall forever miss her beauty, charm, warmth, care, passion, and the invaluable service she rendered to humanity while alive throw us into deep morning.
“We wish to express our sincere condolences to you, the children and
the extended Kalu family, We also pray to the almighty to grant her and eternal rest.
“Please be console by the memories of the good times you both shares and the fact that late Mrs Ifeoma Kalu most of her life in the service of her community and her people, especially during her times as the first lady of Abia State.
“Once again, accept our condolences and prayers and help convey my sincere best wishes and regards to the members of your family and inform them that, I share with them in this moment of grief and sadness.”
The Federal Housing Authority (FHA), in its condolence message issued by the managing director, Senator Gbenga Ashafa described Kalu’s wife as a true mother, saying: “Without doubt, we know that you must be burdened by the heavy weight of grief in this period. However, We Would like you to know that our prayers and thoughts are with
your entire family.”
Similarly, a popular Chinese firm, Hengzhou Laison in a statement signed by its Executive Director, Raymond Zheng described the death of Mrs Kalu as a monumental loss, while praying God to grant Senator Kalu the emotional stability to overcome the shock of the unfortunate incident.
He also prayed for the eternal repose of the soul of the departed.
