Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo mourns the passing of Ada Bekwarra, Chief Linus Okom

The Member Representing Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo has mourned the passing of Ada Bekwarra, Chief Linus Emonse Okom (OON).

The Member of the House of Representatives said the news of the demise of a leader of the Bekwarra people after a brief illness came to him as a huge shock!

He said Ada Bekwarra was a father, a mentor and an inspiration to him. He added that the demise of the elder statesman was a loss to Bekwarra Local Government Area, Cross River State and Nigeria.

He prayed God to give his immediate family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He urged the family to be comforted by the fact that Chief Okom left a legacy that is unmatched in the region and the state.

Chief Linus Emonse Okom (OON) who was past Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) passed on after a brief illness on Saturday 9th January, 2021.

Chief Okom was a loving family man, a seasoned administrator, elder statesman, community builder and political leader from Bekwarra in Cross River State. He left behind a host of relatives to mourn him.
