Popular Crusader, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, today, threw his weight behind the call on President Muhammadu Buhari by majority of Nigerians and critical stakeholders to sack the service chiefs owing to the worsening security situation in the country.

The Social Crusader while regretting the worsening insecurity in the country, noted that sacking the Service Chiefs was the way out in the wake of the unfolding fact that those heading the security architecture of the nation appears completely bereft of new ideas to secure the nation.

Eholor, who is the Global President of One Love Foundation, a civil society group, stated this in a statement signed by him. He expressed disappointment in the assurances and rhetoric of President Buhari to tackle the problem, which he said was no longer appealing.

“The President must know that Nigerians are tired of rhetorics and promises of the security situation getting better. It is time to act like a General. First, Nigerians are no longer happy with the service chiefs; they must be sacked.”

According to the Crusader, the service chiefs are completely bereft of fresh ideas to tackle the high level of insecurity in Nigeria despite the improved funding of the military.

“It’s very glaring to all that in spite of the funding of the military by President Muhammadu Buhari and the assurances they gave Nigerians that things would change, nothing seems to have changed.”

“The worsening security situation in the country is further reinforcing the urgent need to inject new hands with fresh ideas to handle the nation’s security architecture. I’m sure they’ve ran out of excuses and it’s time for them to go.”
