The lawmaker representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, will on Saturday, 15 November 2025, host the Tertiary Scholarship Award Ceremony aimed at improving access to quality education and supporting deserving students across the constituency.
According to a statement issued by the office of the lawmaker, the event is scheduled to take place at the Dr. Alex Otti Auditorium, Ohafia LGA Secretariat, at 12:00 p.m. prompt.
A distinguished lineup of guests is expected at the ceremony, including the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, who will serve as Special Guest of Honour. Other invited dignitaries include the Chairman of Ohafia LGA, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu; the Chairman of Arochukwu LGA, Dr. Chibuike Ezearu; and the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof. Uche Eme Uche. Also expected are members of the Abia State House of Assembly representing Arochukwu, Ohafia South, and Ohafia North constituencies—Hon. Uchenna Okoro, Hon. Mba Kalu Nwoke, and Hon. Mandela Obasi.
Engr. Obinna Odum, Director-General of GODA, and HRH Ezie Awa Oji Udonsi, the Udumeze of Ohafia, are also billed to attend.
Beneficiaries of the scholarship are advised to come with their admission letters and JAMB result slips for verification. Parents, guardians, and members of the public are equally encouraged to attend and be part of the event.
