Mayor Igbokwe Bags Prestigious Youth Empowerment Award From NYCN
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Abia State Chapter, has honoured Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, with a prestigious award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth development and empowerment across the state and beyond.
The award was presented by the National President of the Council, Ambassador Sukubu Sareigbe Sukubu, during a formal event celebrating impactful leadership and youth-focused advocacy. Representing Mayor Igbokwe at the occasion was Barr. B. I. Apugo, who received the honour on his behalf.
According to the NYCN, the recognition of Don Lulu as a “Pillar of Youth” is a testament to his unwavering dedication to empowering young people through sustainable initiatives. The Council praised his consistent efforts in promoting capacity building, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and leadership among Nigerian youths.
“Mayor Lucky Igbokwe has shown through action what it means to invest in the future. His support for young people, especially at the grassroots, has touched lives and inspired a generation,” the Council noted.
Over the years, Don Lulu has championed youth-oriented programs, established media and mentorship platforms, supported educational scholarships, and funded numerous philanthropic projects targeted at creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
The NYCN’s recognition further cements his status as a transformative figure in youth advocacy and a beacon of hope for the next generation of leaders.
