SEDC: Ohafia Improvement Union Abuja Congratulates Senator Orji Uzor Kalu On Senate Committee Chairmanship
Ohafia Improvement Union, Abuja Branch, has congratulated Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on his appointment as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South-East Development Commission (SEDC).
In a statement issued by the president of the union, Chief Kalu Idika, the group described the appointment as well deserved, citing Kalu’s track record of competence and leadership.
“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has demonstrated his commitment to the development of the South-East region over the years. His appointment as Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South-East Development Commission is a recognition of his leadership skills and dedication to public service,” Chief Idika stated.
The union expressed confidence that Kalu will use his position to ensure the effective implementation of the commission’s mandate, including addressing infrastructural deficits, tackling erosion, and fostering economic development in the region.
They also urged him to prioritize projects that will benefit the people of Ohafia, Abia North Senatorial District, and the entire South-East region, assuring him of their support in his new role.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s appointment was announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during today’s plenary session. The SEDC was established to oversee development projects in the South-East and address key regional challenges.
