2027: Group drums support for Orji Uzor Kalu to retain seat in NASS
Highly impressed with the performance of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State who is representing Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, group known as Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement of Nigeria has come out to endorse the former Abia Governor to retain the Abia North Seat in the Senate come next general elections in 2027.
Addressing journalists at their headquarters in Abuja, the group through their National leader Alhaji Muritala Mohammed alias ten ten stated that the group decided to drum support for their principal to remain in the Senate for another term following their conviction that the former two term governor of Abia State is of wonderful performance right from 2019 when he was elected by the good people of Abia North Senatorial District to this moment.
Alhaji ten ten who was in Enugu State along with the executives of the group recently explained that Kalu has brought the power of APC as the ruling party at the centre to bear in performance and consequently lifted Abia North in so many ways including road infrastructure, education, electricity, water supply and health care as well as providing job opportunities for the Youth and the members of OUK Movement in Abia North Senatorial District in particular and other places in general.
More importantly, according to him, Kalu’s giant performance is boosting the growth of APC and repositioning the party to do well in Abia State in 2027 general election adding that the former Abia Governor as a Senator under a the ruling party at the center is providing the kind of representation worthy of emulation in all other districts and constituencies across the State.
Ten ten who is also the Coordinator of Northerners for the Forum of Non Indigenes in Anambra State and Vice President of Heavy Duty and Haulage Transport Association of Nigeria with over 18000 members also pledged their unalloyed support for President Tinubu and APC adding that they are ready to mobilize votes for candidates of APC like they did in 2023 general elections during which they delivered over 300,000 voted for the party nationwide.
