The allegation of corruption being taunted against Professor Is-Shaq Oloyede is a futile attempt to give dog a bad name in other to hang it. Professor Is-Shaq oloyede is one of our highly esteemed ambassador as man of integrity. He won our pricey Integrity Man of the Year Award in 2020 in public Service Category.
How could anyone accuse a man like professor Is-Shaq oloyede of corruption against his impeccable and unimpeachable track record of public Service. Here’s a brief overview of his service history:
How could you indict a man who introduced Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in the admission process.
A man who introduced Biometric Verification, to prevent impersonation and ensure the integrity of the examination process. A man who reduced Examination Fees. Oloyede reduced the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration fee from N5,000 to N3,500. A man who improved the administration of the UTME, reducing the incidence of examination malpractice and increasing the efficiency of the examination process.
The man who made the NIN a requirement for UTME registration to prevent identity theft and ensure the integrity of the examination process.
Prof Oloyede introduced Anti-Corruption Measures. He implemented various anti-corruption measures, including the use of technology to monitor the examination process and prevent malpractice.He didn’t stop there, still driven by the spirit of Transparency, he ensured the order of transparency and accountability in the administration of the UTME, including the publication of examination results and admission lists.
Prof. Oloyede strengthened partnerships with other educational institutions and stakeholders to improve the quality of education in Nigeria. Nigerian will do well to appreciate Professor Is-haq Oloyede’s legacy as a JAMB Registrar. His significant reforms and improvements in the administration of the UTME, is worthy of emulation and commendation, hence he was decorated as the INTEGRITY MAN OF THE YEAR in 2020 by Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ). Let’s give honor to our leaders who have distinguished themselves in their places of leadership as men and women of integrity, fairness, and accountability. This will no doubt encourage others in positions of power to follow the footsteps of integrity, fairness , and accountability in our nation.
