On 7th December 2024, the Ohafia Improvement Union (Abuja branch) conferred the Distinguished Son of Ohafia Award on Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa.

The honour, presented during the 2024 Ohafia Day celebration at the Old Parade Ground, Garki, Abuja, was in recognition of his patriotism and dedication to the Ohafia community.

Following the fire outbreak at Elu Ohafia Daily Market on 20th December 2024, Chief Ukwa extended his sympathy to the affected traders and pledged to work with others to provide relief and support to the victims.

On 26th December 2024, through the IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION, Chief Ukwa distributed rice and other food items to women in Amaekpu, Ohafia, as part of activities marking the memorial service of his late father-in-law, Dr Michael Uduma Nmagu.

On the same day, Chief Ukwa attended the Igba Uche Traditional Retirement Ceremony in Akanu Ohafia. He honoured invitations from members of the Anyafumba and Ugwumba Age Grades, including APC Chairman Prince Emma Awa Nwosu and Elder Mrs Bassey Umoga.

On 29th December 2024, Chief Ukwa participated in the memorial and thanksgiving service for his late father-in-law, held at Christian Pentecostal Mission, Elu Ohafia. Women in Ebem Ohafia were also provided with rice and food items.

On 31st December 2024, Chief Ukwa visited High Chief Uche Ogboso in Akanu Ohafia. During the visit, he outlined his foundation’s projects and expressed his commitment to expanding community development initiatives across Ohafia.

On 2nd January 2025, Chief Ukwa visited Ohafia stakeholders, including Chief Lucas Eme Onu, an APC chieftain and former President of the Mben Political Assembly, as well as Mr Uduka Okoro Amogu, Coordinator of the Ikenna Ukwa Progressive Group, Ania Ward.

On the same day, Chief Ukwa extended his generosity to Nkwebi and Okagwe communities, distributing rice and food items. This marked the seventh village in Ohafia to benefit from his outreach initiatives, further solidifying his reputation as a compassionate and selfless leader.
