Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU) Abuja Branch has expressed confidence that Prof Awa Kalu, SAN, the newly appointed Board Chairman of the Greater Ohafia Development Agency (GODA), is well-equipped to steer the agency towards sustainable growth and development.
In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, Chief Kalu Idika Okwara, President of the OIU Abuja Branch, stated that Prof Awa Kalu will bring his wealth of experience to address the challenges facing Abia North Senatorial Zone.
He applauded Governor Alex Otti for the establishment of the Greater Ohafia Development Agency (GODA), and the appointment of Prof Awa Kalu, SAN as its Board Chairman.
“Prof Awa Kalu’s appointment is a round peg in a round hole. His appointment did not come as a surprise to us and many Abians, given his extensive experience as an administrator, community leader, and foremost lawyer of international reputation.
“On behalf of the Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU), Abuja Branch, we heartily congratulate Prof Awa Kalu, SAN, on his appointment as the Board Chairman of the Greater Ohafia Development Agency (GODA), and we also applaud Governor Alex Otti for establishing the agency,” the statement reads.
