BREAKING: Former Governor’s Son Dies in Road Accident

Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the son of the former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has passed away.

A family source, who requested anonymity, confirmed his death to Daily Trust, stating that the deceased was involved in a road accident.

Reports gathered by Daily Trust indicate that the accident occurred along the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.

“The accident happened along the Kaduna-Zaria highway this evening. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital, where he was declared dead. His father was at the hospital, and his body has since been taken home for burial arrangements,” the source said.

Makarfi, a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was unavailable for comment at the time of filing this report.

Faisal, a civil engineer by training, attended Kaduna International School before proceeding to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State, for his secondary education. He earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Greenwich, London, and had enrolled for a PhD at the same institution.
