Senator Orji Kalu Kickstarts 3rd Phase Of Project Light Up Abia North, 48 Communities Set To Benefit (FULL LIST)

Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu has said all is set for the commencement of the third phase of solar streetlights project for forty-eight communities in the Senatorial District.

A statement from the Media office of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and made available to journalists in Abuja disclosed that the third phase will kick start covering over 48 communities across the five local government areas of the Senatorial District.

The project, according the him, is meant to light up dark spots around the communities, increase social and economic activities, and reduce criminal activities in various benefiting areas.

Senator Kalu urged community leaders and residents to take ownership of the lights and other government infrastructure to prevent vandalism.

He said that the project and other numerous ones he had facilitated were meant to enhance the quality of lives of the people, and should not be destroyed.

Senator Kalu, who is the Chairman of Senate Committee on Privatisation, assured the people of the Senatorial District of maximum cooperation and support that would assist the district to witness even development and thereby take the area into economic and security prosperity.
