Though it’s too early to start appraising the newly inaugurated members of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly, there is need to give kudos to the Member Representing the good people of Obingwa West State Constituency, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, for his good start at the plenary of the House recently.

While his fellow first timers in the House are still dusting their seats for the tasks ahead for the next four years, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has moved the first motion of the 8th Abia House of Assembly, Calling on the Federal Government to suspend the newly proposed electricity tariff billed to take effect on the first of this month, July 2023, until the effect of petroleum subsidy removal is properly absorbed.

Hon. Erondu Jnr, understands the unbearable nature and already existing hardship caused by petroleum subsidy removal in the state, especially to his Constituency as the price of transportation, goods and products has gone up. This was done by FG without a proper strategy to cushion the negative effects on the citizens. The call for the suspension or total removal of the planned increment in electricity tariff by Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, is a welcome development and shows he is on the right track.

Hon. Erondu Jnr, with this motion has set the stage for a fruitful 8th Abia House of Assembly, while also appealing to our Honourable Members, especially the first timers to emulate Hon. Erondu Jnr and move motions that will have a valuable impact in their various Constituencies.

For this start, Hon. Erondu Jnr, has shown his readiness to change the negative narratives in Obingwa West State Constituency, by making sure he moves motions that will have positive effects on his people and fastrack development.

Hon. Erondu Jnr, has finally shown himself approved for the task ahead. He has raised the bar, which is an indication that he is on a right track.
