Ohafia Plans Reception For Abia Dep Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Hon. Mba Nwoke

The national body of Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU), has promised a grand reception for the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, House of Representatives member-elect for Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, House of Assembly member-elect for Ohafia South State Constituency, Chief Kalu Mba Nwoke (Etiokwe).

Elder Dr. Ukpai K. Ukpai, the National President of Ohafia Improvement Union while inaugurating members of the organizing committee stated that the event tagged “Ituwe Ugo” which is an age long tradition of the Ohafia people “fused in thanksgiving to God and presentation of charges to their sons and daughters on spotlight assignments” will hold within the year.

He named Rev Dr. Onyema Agbai as Chairman of the Planning Committee, while Mr. Lopez Okwara Mba Awa was named as Secretary.

Other members of the planing Committee are: Hon Cliff Kalu Obia, Chief O. O. Obuma (Afikpo), Mr Ikpo Okereke (Port Harcourt), Mr Egbichi, Mr Ogboso Ojike (Lagos), Chief Etum Okereke (Aba).

According to him, members of the committee cut across the length and breadth of Ohafia, noting that the Ezie Agba Ohafia, HRH Ezieogo Kalu Ikenga will represent the Udumeze of Ohafia and Ohafia Council of Monarchs alongside Engr. Bonanza O. A. Olugu.

Others include OIU Branch Presidents including those in the diaspora, Greater Ohafia for Christ, Ohafia Udumeze Inc, Ohafia Summit, MPA, Ohafia Vanguard for Equity, Onwa Ohafia, and others.

Responding on behalf of the committee, Rev Dr. Williams Onyema Agbai (Chairman), promised a clement outing.
