All is set for the service of songs of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu, late wife of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
According to the funeral arrangements released by the family, service of songs will be held later today, Wednesday 12th April at 11am.
The venue of the service of songs was announced to be New Home AME Zion Church, 3290 Charlotte Highway York, South Carolina.
The event will be streamed live at the social media handles of the church, while the dress code is black.
Meanwhile, the family had an open casket viewing of the former Abia State First Lady ahead today’s service of songs.
Members of Kalu’s family visited McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, North Carolina to pay their last respect to the former Abia State First Lady.
This was made known by the former Abia State Governor on his official Facebook page on Wednesday morning.
He wrote: “Ahead of tomorrow’s service of songs for my late wife Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu , we had an open casket viewing at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, North Carolina, USA.
“We will miss our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Sister and Aunt.
“We would miss a compassionate, selfless, wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. A woman who taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.
“May her soul rest in perfect peace in the bosom of the Almighty until the Last Day of the Resurrection when we shall meet again.”
