Mr Ibe Okwara Osonwa has announced his withdrawal from Abia All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2019 polls said he will pursue his ambition in another party.
He withdrew less than 24 hours before the commencement of the exercise.
Osonwa in resignation letter to the APC Ebem Oha Ward Chairman said “This decision was reached as a result of the unrest, division and the undemocratic imposition of aspirants by the leadership of the party”.
“It is with utmost regards to my supporters, stakeholders and the All Progressive Congress Party that I, Ibe Okwara has taken a decision to withdraw and resign from the All Progressive Congress party and the primaries scheduled to hold on Friday 27th of May 2022.
“This decision was reached as a result of the unrest, division and the undemocratic imposition of the party.
“I therefore urge all my teeming supporters to remain resolute and steadfast, expect the new direction which will be announced very soon. Rest assured we are in this together.”
