Barring any last-minute change, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State, Chief Amobi Ogah may dump the party for the People’s Democratic Party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

This emerged after Ogah met with Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu on Wednesday, a source told THE WHISPERER.

According to the source, Ogah’s meeting was aimed at finalizing his move to the party, which he would use to push his 2023 ambition of representing Isikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency,

“Ogah’s intended move is because of the crisis in the All Progressives Congress. You know Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha is planning to run for 5th term and that’s unacceptable to us from Isikwuato local government area,” the source said.

Ogah’s defection would be made public in the next few days.

Amobi is the younger brother to the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah.
