The people of Amaugwu Uratta village of Umuoha community in Isiala Ngwa North local government area of Abia State has commended the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for giving them access to portable water through the borehole he drilled for the community.
In an appreciation message to the ex- Abia governor, the President General of Amaugwu Uratta village, Umuoha Development Union, Chief Emma Afonne, stated that the community was deeply indebted to the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District.
He showered praises on the lawmaker describing the project as first of its kind in the area, praising Kalu for responding to their yearnings of the community by honoring their son, Barrister Emeka Nwala.
“I, on behalf of my family and the hospitable people of Amaugwu Uratta village of Umuoha community in Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia state, most heartily appreciate Your Excellency for your magnanimity to us as a people with special manifestation in the borehole you drilled in our community in honour of our illustrious son and your Staff, Barr Emeka Nwala.
“We deeply appreciate and applaud your kind gesture in this respect because the community had hitherto lacked potable water for over 100 years. You can then understand the kind of relief this singular gesture has brought to the people.
“Indeed, this shows that you are truly the godfather to ALL Abians and a worthy friend and brother to the entire Ngwaland.
“Accordingly, we are deeply indebted to you and assure you of our fervent prayers, solidarity and goodwill while wishing you robust health and more successes in your tenure as the Chief Whip of the 9th Senate.
