Abia born philanthropist and PDP chieftain, Chief Dr. Sam Anya, has felicitated with the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji on his recent emergence as the winner of The Sun Public Service Award for 2020.
Anya, in a statement personally signed by him, described the Public Service Award bestowed on the speaker by Sun Newspapers as a reward for hard work, dexterity and his tremendous and outstanding efforts.
Anya who described Rt. Hon. Orji as a golden fish that has no hiding place, called the award an affirmation of the excellence-driven posture of the Abia State House of Assembly Speaker.
Anya said the achievements of the speaker is helping to put the state on the path of socio-economic growth and development.
“The Speaker is a renowned philanthropist, who is dutiful to the core. He is a supporter of the governor and lover of Abia state. His emergence as winner of Sun Public Service Award 2020 shows that the speaker, apart from his legislative role of piloting of the House, has reached a glorious height and milestone in touching and impacting lives of others.
“I congratulate the speaker on this well deserved award. Without doubt, he has performed beyond expectations; He has demonstrated an unparalleled passion and zeal to the holistic development of Abia State,” he said.
