The management of Reach 194.9FM, Owerri, Imo State has declared one of its presenters, Uma Sunny Anderson missing.
Reach FM is owned by the former governor of the state and Senator representing Imo West District, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the radio station which was published on its verified Facebook page, revealed that he was last seen in the office on July, 2, 2021.
It further disclosed that the missing presenter wore an orange t-shirt and a black trouser the day he was seen last in the office and further appealed to the public to assist in searching for him.
The radio station declared the presenter missing after his fans and friends had besieged its corporate office in Owerri after they didn’t hear from him for two days on air.
It was further gathered that the phone numbers of the presenter were also not connecting which made his friends to intensify the search for his whereabouts.
A source within the station, (name withheld), revealed that it was after another set of persons visited the Reach FM to enquire about Sunny that the management decided to issue a statement declaring him missing.
The station urged anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of Sunny Uma, should call the General Manager of Reach FM on 08112935565.
Officials of Owerri Capital Development Authority on Friday, July 2 sealed the station for its inability to produce its building plan and blocking an access road in New Owerri with its fence.
Spokesman of the former governor, Sam Onwuemeodo wondered the reason for the sealing of the radio channel.
He blamed it on the perceived animosity which the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma harbours for his predecessor.
Onwuemeodo wondered why anybody would be requesting for an approved plan of the building housing the radio station many years after it was acquired from its original owner.
The station was later reopened.
Sunny Uma Anderson is the anchor of the program, OLU NDIGBO at Reach FM Owerri. He is from Ebem Ohafia, Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
He was the President/Udumeze of National Association of Ohafia Students Worldwide, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede Chapter and also the NAOS WORLDWIDE Chief Judge.
