Leader of Revolution Now movement, Mr. Omoyele Sowore has been reportedly shot by the police.
A woman ACP who targeted him pulled the shot directly on his tigh while he led some comrades to the Unity Fountain, said human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong.
He’s now being taken away by the comrades who are still trying to locate the nearest hospital for treatment.
Inibehe Effiong confirmed the incident through a post on his Facebook page.
He wrote; “Omoyele Sowore has just been shot by a female police officer at the Unity Fountain in Abuja.
“It is not yet clear whether the officer fired a gun or a teargas cannister. What is clear is that Sowore was directly targeted.
“The criminal officer is said to be an ACP. I watched Sowore being shot live on Facebook.
“This is what Nigeria has been turned into under Buhari. They’ve declared war on the Civic Space.
The FCT Police Commissioner has fenced the Unity Fountain with iron and cables to prevent protests.”
