Not fewer than two operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Anambra State were Friday night killed by unknown hoodlums, THE WHISPERER has learnt.
The attack occurred at Nneyi in Umueri, Anambra East LGA.
According to Edwin Okadigbo, the corp’s public relation officer , “Two officers of the corps that sustained gunshot injuries from the incident lost their lives.
“Regrettably, their rifles were carted away after which the official vehicle was set ablaze. Our officers on duty engaged the attackers, which resulted in the death of the two officers of the corps at the end of the melee.”
