Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa yesterday dissolved State Executive Council.
Speaking yesterday in Asaba after an exco meeting, Immediate Past Commissioner of Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu said the development is unconnected to the recent comments of the Governor concerning his successor.
According to him, ” Governor Okowa dissolved the State Executive Council and has directed all Commissioner to hand over to their respective Permanent Secretaries”.
Also, all Senior Special Adviser have been directed to hand over to the next senior official in the various offices”.
The dissolution has nothing to do with the 2023 elections”
He further mentioned that Okowa appreciated members of his EXCO for their contribution to the modest achievement of his administration.
“The Governor believe there are other Deltans who can be useful to strengthening this adminstration to ensure nothing derails from the stronger Delta agenda” he said
He also mentioned the approval of N2.8 billion for the construction of infrastructure in the three newly approved university in the state.
