A Member of Katsina state House of Assembly representing Batsari, Alhaji Jabiru yusufu Yau-Yau has escaped bandits by the whiskers after bandits attacked him in his constituency.
According to Katsina City News, Alhaji Jabiru Yau-Yau was ambushed by the suspected bandits at Garwa village during a condolence visit.
It was alleged that the bandits came in their hundreds heavily armed to kidnap and eliminate the lawmaker, a villager told the local blog.
According to the villager; “They must have gotten information through an insider that the Honorable member was coming. They ambushed him in hundreds but some of the villagers quickly alerted the lawmaker helping him to escaped through another route.
“The lawmaker was very lucky to have escaped the attack because the bandits were heard saying today was his last day.” He said.
