Massive Defection Set to Hit APC and APGA in Ohafia
The All Progressive Congress (APC) and the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) are set to loose hundreds of her members to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ohafia.
This follows a meeting held by the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu with the intending defectors at Terykel Hotel in Ebem Ohafia yesterday.
According to these members of APC and APGA in Ohafia, the unprecedented achievements of the Deputy Speaker and the need to support him achieve even had promoted their decision to join the PDP.
They stated the Deputy Speaker had performed beyond the expectations of nde Ohafia including some of them in the opposition party and as such, every right thinking Ohafian who has the interest of Ohafia at heart must as a matter of necessity rally round the law maker for a greater achievement.
They also commended the Kinetic Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for his caterpillar revolution in Aba and other parts of the state and pledged to give him their full support.
The defectors has fixed next month, April 2021 to make their defection official, a decision which they said would enable them convince other members of their parties to join them in the move.
In his speech during the meeting, the right honourable Deputy Speaker, Ifeanyi Uchendu thanked the APC and APGA faithfuls in Ohafia for their decision to join him in the PDP. He noted that such decisions would spur him to do even more in the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people of Ohafia.
He promised them of a level playing ground in the PDP noting that the Umbrella of the party is big enough to contain everyone even in the country as a whole.
