First Republic politician and PDP founding member dies in Kano
Dauda Dangalan, a First Republic politician, has died in Kano on Saturday. He was 95.
Family sources said late Dangalan died after protracted illness, spanning from two years ago.
The source said the deceased died at his residence in Fagge Local Government area of the state at around 2:00 pm.
The late politician, who was an active member of the Northern Elements Progressives Union, NEPU in the 50s, served as commissioner for Local Government in 1983 during Sabo Bakinzuwo administration.
He was also a founding member of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, left behind 13 children and over 60 grandchildren.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the funeral rites of the deceased took place at his residence in Fagge and was attended by his remaining political associates and government officials.
