Rumours about the latest Apple phone are coming out and Twitter NG is reacting.
So far, there’s no official or unofficial word on when the next Apple’s next iPhone will be released, although, industry watchers are saying the California-based company will stick to its usual September unveiling date.
Back in Nigeria, iPhone 13 is sitting atop the trends table with thousands of tweets. Nigerians are lamenting how they are yet to enjoy their iPhone 12 or even buy, and already an upgrade is coming.
Twitter user, Bongikosi Linda sarcastically tweeted, “Two weeks back iPhone 12 was released now iPhone 13 is out….yerrrr”
Ntsako Dakalo tweeted, “iPhone released an iPhone 13 while I was still saving up for the iPhone 11”
Popular Twitter user, Wale Adetona tweeted, “If they like they should release iPhone 13 or even iPhone 69, you see this iPhone 11 ehn, I won’t change it in another 600 Years.”
Success Sankara tweeted, “iPhone 13 is finally out, which means the price of iPhone 12 will reduce, thereby pushing the cost of iPhone 11 down to enable us (to) afford iPhone 10.”
Victor Babatunde adds his own perspective, “How will I explain to my brother that has been saving for iPhone 12 since last year that iPhone 13 is out?”
Meanwhile, strong sales of iPhone 12 models lifted Apple to the top of the global smartphone market in the fourth quarter of 2020, a survey showed Monday.
The report by market tracker Gartner showed Apple sold some 79.9 million iPhones in the final three months of the year to take the top spot in the market for the first time since the fourth quarter of 2016.
Though not official, the phone could cost about $4,000.
