The Confederation of Independent Football Associations (CONIFA) has admitted Biafra as on of its member states.
This was announced by Chef Ralph Uwazurike, leader of MASSOB-BIM in a video announcement monitored by MOBIN MEDIA.
Uwazurike, while announcing the development stated that the admission would enable Biafrans have an opportunity to participate in all the football tournaments of member states.
His words “We encourage our youths, both male and female to avail themselves of this great opportunity to showcase their talents and become known in the international community. I have briefed two strongline leaders of the Biafran struggle of this wonderful development.
“I just spoke with Ediabali, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, and I also spoke with Barrister Emeka Emekesiri. They are all happy with new development, and we encourage our people to continue in the path of non violence.
“It may interest you to know that UNPO admitted Biafra because of our stance in non violence, and CONIFA informed us that one of the reasons why they admitted us was because we are members of the UNPO. You can now appreciate the importance of non violence in our struggle.
“We have directed the Biafran Minister of Sports to do the needful. Money and influence has no role to play in the selection of people. What matters here is capability and talent. Every Biafran is allowed to participate. The country to be represented is Biafra. Nobody is the owner owner of Biafra. This achievement has been made by all Biafrrans, and all Biafrans will enjoy it”, Uwazurike stated.
CONIFA, the Confederation of Independent Football Associations, is the football federation for all associations outside FIFA.
