Yesterday, Friday April 16, 2021, Hon. Uko Nkole received in audience a cross section of student leaders drawn from the office of Vice President (SUG), Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) to the NANS Joint Campus Committee in his Abam Onyerubi close residence in Umuahia, Abia State who was on hand to commend the federal lawmaker over his giant strides towards proffering the unprecedented dividends of democracy to his constituents especially the rehabilitation of the Nmuri bailey bridge and facilitation of a new concrete bridge beside the rehabilitated Bailey bridge which hitherto was a death trap on the major economic corridor while also extending his efforts beyond his immediate primary constituency.
Particularly, the recent facilitation of asphaltic road construction of Onyerubi close Umuahia which has added more economic value within the neighborhood .

The Vice President of the Abia state University, Comr. Asiegbu Blessing Mark and her team in their submissions stated that in view of the giant strides of the performing Ohafia/Arochukwu federal Rep member it has become imperative to identify with him in their preparation for future leadership task and used the medium to invite the students friendly representative to her forthcoming program titled “women of worth”. (WOW) slated for 7th May, 2021 at the Abia State University School auditorium, Abia State .

The NANS Zonal Rep Abia state; Comr. Frank Eme Orji while speaking thanked the Arochukwu/Ohafia federal lawmaker for always being accessible and accommodating towards the Abia state Students’ community, noting that he is one man who would pick and return your calls any day, anytime. Having enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with him as the NANS Zonal Rep.

The JCC deputy chairman, Comr Johnson Okereke Ryder commended the Rep member for his accommodating nature, and unfettered support he has given to the Abia Students’ community, even as he pledged their support.

The Special Assistant to the Governor Of Abia State on Students Affairs ‘; Comr. Chibuzo Ndom who lead the students leaders described Hon. Uko Nkole as a superlative performer and an ardent loyalist of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu administration who has continued to identify with the students’ community in Abia State. While recalling how he effectively distributed palliatives to students’ in his constituency in the wake of covid-19 pandemic and was the only House Of Representatives member of Abia State extraction that remembered students during that critical period and assured him of their unalloyed support.

While responding, Hon. Uko Nkole assured the visiting student leaders of his continued intervention and support, while charging them to be focused in their academics amid student unionism. He urged them to be positive, purposeful and intentional about life while banking their trust on God.

The federal lawmaker admonished the students to be supportive to Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu who also is a member of the academia community and to be always constructive in their engagements as future leaders. Noting, that as an erstwhile unionist in his days at the University Of Nigeria Nsukka and someone who is preoccupied with the affairs of the youths, he will do his best towards playing a mentoring and fatherly role, as well as doing all he can towards ensuring that their program succeeds, while he attends.

Comr. Emeka Kenneth gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the students, where he thanked the Honourable member whom he described as the most accessible and students’ friendly federal lawmaker in the state.
